Encrypted email

Encrypted Email

Most standard email messages are not encrypted and thus cannot be used to send sensitive medical information.

Violating HIPAA/HITECH compliancy regulations can be extremely costly, in some cases costing upwards of 1.5 million dollars. This isn’t even considering the bad publicity and damage to a group’s reputation that can result from a single HIPAA/HITECH violation

e-VisitCare provides PKI private-public key encryption for all its users automatically. Messages and attachments are encrypted when sent over the Internet or stored on the server.

Retrieval of the encryption keys from a certified authority and the assignment of that authority to the user are fully automated. The results are a trouble-free user setup and ease of use.

One Time Password

It’s hard to remember user names or passwords. As a result they are often written down.

This practice lends itself to significant vulnerabilities. If a password is stolen, anyone can use it to read emails, view encrypted information, and even become disguised as the genuine user.

e-VisitCare prevents this by the one-time password strategy deployment, also known as two factor authentication. There are two implementation methods: cell phone authentication and Chess Card authentication.

Cell Phone Authentication

Cell Phone Authentication

Text message passwords are very common and used frequently today. A text message will be sent to the user containing the password that they will be required to login into the system with.

Chess Card

Chess Card Authentication

“Chess Card” authentication allows you to login via a one-time password without a cell phone or any other electronic device.

The authentication information is formatted into a chess board layout with random characters at each chess field and then printed on a standard ID card so the user can easily carry it in their wallet.

In order to log-in to e-VisitCare, the user is prompted to enter the specific coordinate values from their unique e-VisitCare “Chess Card”. The Chess Card also contains information about the healthcare provider or physician, which makes the login process user friendly and enhances branding for medical providers.

New Message Notifications

New Message Notifications

All messages are encrypted when stored in the e-VisitCare repository and can only be read by logging into the system.

When a new message arrives for a recipient, e-VisitCare automatically sends a text message notification to the registered cell phone and an email based notification to their regular email address.

Notifications contain no information about the content of the message; it simply prompts the recipient to log-in to e-VisitCare and read their new message.

Encrypted Archive

Encrypted Archive

All messages are encrypted when stored in the e-VisitCare repository and can only be read by logging into the system.

When a new message arrives for a recipient, e-VisitCare automatically sends a text message notification to the registered cell phone and an email based notification to their regular email address.

Notifications contain no information about the content of the message. They simply prompt the recipient to log into e-VisitCare and read their new message.

Shared Medical Forms Repository

e-VisitCare contains a repository for files that can be shared by all doctors and other enabled users.

These files are forms that are normally sent to patients, such as ‘New Patient Information’, ‘Medical History’ etc. The file types of these forms are not limited. They can be a word document, PDF, or even a standard HL7 message.

All files attached to an e-VisitCare email are always automatically encrypted, regardless of type.

WEB Integration

WEB Integration

e-VisitCare is easily integrated into any existing web site and the name of the system branded with the group’s name or service.
